Pineridge Zoo

I recently visited the Pineridge Zoo, one of many small zoos in Canada. The conditions there are terrible. I’ve written an article, with photographs and a couple of video clips, here. It will surprise you - and, I hope, upset you.

No need to apologize -

No need to apologize - everybody gets to have an opinion.

Ok. Sorry...I did not

Ok. Sorry...I did not understand what was going on.

Jade - it is like we've been

Jade - it is like we've been to different places! I'm not going to try to convince you (as you say, we all have different views on these things). In any event, I remain very pleased the place has finally closed.

With respect to asking the zoo owners for input - in fact, I did so some two years ago on two occasions (once at the gate, and once by phone). They choose not to provide any. And, there is certainly nothing preventing them from posting a reply here.

Hello. I would just like to

Hello. I would just like to say that the PineRigde Zoo in Grand Bend is a great place. The animals are always feed and the people are very nice. They are always willing to help you to learn about there animals and they have good bonds with the animlas. They also move the areas were the animals stay over about 6 - 12 inches so that the brush and wild life can grow back. I don't see any other zoo's doing this. They are always thinking about the animals and the wildlife. They are also always trying to make there zoo better. I think it is very rude for you to say things about a zoo that is trying to do there best. And even if you do have something to say you should tell the owners what you think. They would be glad to hear your input and I'm sure they would appercaite it if you didn't talk about the zoo so rudely and not to them. If you think they are going to read this and change there ways...your wrong...they most likely don't even know that people are writing such rude things. These people are trying there best. If you owned a bussiness would you like people talking about your bussiness behind your back. So just think about that tonight when you go to sleep and if you feel like you have helped someone out by writing your rude articles then good..if not then just apoligize to the lord and he will forgive you. Let people figure things out for them self. Everyone has a differnet opinon.

I was in the area last

I was in the area last weekend (Aug 12/07) and it looks like the "zoo" has closed. The signs have all been taken down and the parking lot was blocked off. I just hope the animals end up somewhere better. This really was a terrible place.
