There is a great quote in yesterday's Globe and Mail. Gore Vidal was in Toronto to speak, and responded to those who suggest he is is one of the conspiracy buffs who believe that George Bush planned and executed 9/11 in order to create an excuse to invade Iraq.
He said: "People have been trained to think that I'm one of the crazies who believe that Bush launched 9/11, and clearly he didn't - because it was beautifully executed." An awfully good point. It appears to me that it closes the door on the conspiracy theory, doesn't it?
